President Barack Obama will travel to Capitol Hill this week to hold separate meetings with the Democratic and Republican caucuses in the Senate and the House.
The agenda: Discuss legislative priorities, with the budget and taxes and spending likely to be at the top of the list.
Obama began reaching out to Republican members of Contress last week. He had dinner with 12 Republican senators at the Jefferson Hotel on Wednesday and lunch on Thursday at the White House with Rep. Paul Ryan, chairman of the House Budget committee, and Rep. Chris Van Hollen, the ranking Democrat on the committee.
Ryan is scheduled to release a budget plan later this week that will "promote repealing Obamacare and replacing it with a better system."
Republican lawmakers said Sunday they welcome Obama?s efforts to reach out and meet with them face to face.
And then there is this: First lady Michelle Obama answers questions on her ?Let's Move!? program via Twitter Q&A using her office's @FLOTUS account.
And this: U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia turns 77 on Monday.
