TWO MASS SHOOTINGS...DIFFERENT OUTCOMES: After Newtown, Armed Citizen Stops Spree in Texas

TWO MASS SHOOTINGS?DIFFERENT OUTCOMES: After Newtown, Armed Citizen Stops Spree in Texas

Like clockwork, within 48 hours after the surreal Newtown, Connecticut, tragedy took place, progressives in Congress were issuing another clarion call for sweeping gun control, specifically in the form of a bill in both Houses.

But before the news articles about Senator Dianne Feinstein?s (D-CA) Sunday morning announcement could even circulate the social media forum, 2nd Amendment stalwarts like Larry Pratt, executive director of the Gun Owners of America (GOA), had their evidence for why such gun control will cost more lives?not save them.

In San Antonio, Texas, a man walked into a restaurant, pulled a weapon, then chased frightened patrons into a nearby movie theater as he opened fire.

So, why didn?t this story rise to the media level that Newtown did? Or Aurora, Colorado, for that matter? Because, before he could shoot more than one person, an off-duty cop working security at the theater pulled a concealed firearm and gunned him down.

?All of our mass murders in the last 20 years have occurred in gun-free zones,? says Pratt, referring to places like Newtown, Aurora and Ft. Hood. ?What a lethal, false security they are. The two people murdered a couple of days earlier in the shopping center in Oregon were also in a gun-free zone.

Hopefully the Connecticut tragedy will be the tipping point after which a rising chorus of Americans will demand elimination of the gun-free zone laws that are in fact ?criminal-safe zones.?

We must tell our elected officials that they are acting as the criminals? friends as long as they continue to support legislation that only protects criminals, not decent people.?

For an informed and rather edgy interview, call Special Guests right now to schedule the bold leader of the GOA, Larry Pratt.
